Digital adoption is a critical aspect of Canada’s economic future. As part of the 2021 budget announcements, the Canadian Federal Government announced the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) to aid small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to digitally transform their businesses. It is an innovative program that will accelerate digital adoption across the country. SMEs can receive up to CAD 15,000 to develop a digital plan that can help them in their digital transformation and achieve their business goals in 2022.
What Are The Relevant Programs?
Depending on your goals and eligibility, there are two programs within the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP).
Boost Your Business Technology
Up to $15,000 for CDAP and 0% interest loans up to $100,000 from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to facilitate the acquisition of new technology.
Grow Your Business Online
Micro-grant of $2,400 to develop and implement online or e-commerce strategies and technologies.

Additional Benefits of the Boost Your Business Plan
0% Interest BDC Loan of $100k
The government is well aware that businesses might not have the necessary funds to execute the recommendations of the Adoption Plan. Thus, businesses will also have the choice to advance a loan of $100k from BDC at 0% interest.
Funded Work Placement
Businesses will also have the opportunity to secure a wage subsidy of $7,300 to hire the best talent to undertake their digital transformation plan.
